The Evelix drains some 30 square miles to the east of the River Shin and north of the Kyle of Sutherland. It has a rugged moorland character before meandering sedately through farmland to Loch Evelix, just above its mouth three miles west of Dornoch on the north side of the Dornoch Firth.
The Evelix is not let commercially.
